Water damage repair assessment is an on-site inspection for property owners who know they've got water damage somewhere but need a clear, professional evaluation of the full extent before deciding on next steps. This is the starting point for any significant water damage situation, since you can't get an accurate estimate or repair plan without first understanding exactly what's been affected, including damage that isn't visible on the surface.
This service makes sense when you've discovered water damage and aren't sure how extensive it actually is, when you're buying a property and want to understand any past or current water damage before closing, when you're dealing with an insurance claim and need professional documentation of the damage, or when you've gotten conflicting opinions from different sources and want an independent, thorough assessment before committing to repairs.
We start with a full visual inspection of the affected area, then use moisture meters and, where needed, thermal imaging to identify moisture that's spread beyond what's visible – behind walls, under flooring, or into structural elements. We document everything thoroughly with photos and detailed notes, which matters both for your own understanding of the situation and for any insurance claim you may be filing. You'll walk away with a clear picture of what's actually damaged, what caused it, and a straightforward recommendation on repair scope, whether that's a targeted fix or something more extensive.
Assessments are typically a flat fee, often credited toward repair work if you move forward with our recommendations. Properties in Portland, OR dealing with insurance claims often benefit from having thorough, professional documentation from the assessment stage, since it strengthens the claim significantly compared to a homeowner's own notes.
Before you commit to repairs, get a clear picture of what's actually going on. Call (253) 247-4517 to schedule an assessment.
